Anti-government rallies continue in Chisinau, Moldova

Chisinau residents took to the the city's Prosecutor's Office to participare in the anti-government, anti-nepotism rally dubbed 'Meritocracy of Relatives'.

Protesters chanted slogans such as 'Shame!', 'Step down!" and 'Down with the government!' and held banners decrying president Maia Sandu and Party of Action and Solidarity.

Protests in the centre of Chisinau have been ongoing since 18 September.
Mass anti-government rallies began in May over soaring energy and food prices, falling living standards and record inflation.
