Türkiye and Russia launch trading in national currencies

Moscow and Ankara have begun trading in national currencies in full swing, Hakan Topkurulu, head of the economic policy department of the Turkish Patriotic Party wrote in his column.

All trade operations between Turkey and Russia are currently done in rubles. According to Topkurulu, this trade is currently functioning as an established network.

Topkurulu noted the US currency has now been completely pushed out of the economic relations between the two countries and the USA has no possibility to interfere. "Now there is no dollar in trade between Turkey and Russia," the official stressed.

Topkurulu would not disclose how the transfers are processed as the organizers of this system strongly advised him not to do so, he clarified.

Earlier in August, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui also said that China would continue to increase settlements in national currencies in trade with Russia.
