Musk discusses putting all of Twitter behind paywall

Apparently, Musk's plans to monetize Twitter could go far beyond the $8 monthly fee. Musk and his top advisers have reportedly discussed charging all Twitter users a blanket subscription fee to use the platform.

Citing a source familiar with matters discussed in high-level meetings at the company, Musk intends to allow users to use Twitter only for a limited amount of time every month, after which a paid subscription would be required to keep browsing.

Although so far it is only a discussion that is far from being implemented, Musk's idea for a Twitter paywall has already been criticized by experts. It is assumed that shifting to such a business model could lead to fewer daily users, which would inevitably cause a drop in advertising revenue.
