Russia not selling gas and oil to countries abiding price cap, said Energy Minister

Russia will not sell gas or oil to countries that limit their price, adding that this idea is essentially a cartel of Western countries, said Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov.

"Of course we will not sell at a loss or below cost," he said. "This is some kind of cartel against us, we definitely will not allow such an attitude towards ourselves."

According to the minister, the introduction of restrictions on the price of Russian oil and gas will only make things worse for Western countries. "They are no longer aware of what they are doing," Shulginov added.
