Population to Touch 8 BILLION by November 15, Tanzania Among Highly Populated

India will surpass China as the world’s most populous country next year, according to World Population Prospects 2022. The report also revealed that global population growth fell below 1% in 2020, the first time since 1950.

Only eight countries - Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Tanzania - will be responsible for more than half of the population growth by 2050.

Global population is estimated to peak in the 2080s at 10.4bn… and remain that way till 2100.
